The Dark Elf was an idiot. He didn't bring the most cost-effective units in the Dark Elf roster- the Darkshards/shields+ Cold One Knights. They would've made mincemeat of the high-armour HE units. Why bother with Executioners? Why go the one area where Martial Prowess gives the starting advantage to the High Elf? Players like these are why Malekith kept losing for 5000 years :p

not sure, but, i think ward save means that whatever % u have of it, it completely nullifies the damage u would take. physicals resistance means that you will reduce the damage you take by that %. I could be wrong though, but i think they are different. Please advice, because now i am curious lol

love this build turin! high elves very under rated. Teclis is legit.
Also love using dragon princes just to crush/collapse a flank and push onto their back line. you rock turin!

Martial Prowess is active as long as they had above 50% health BASE. Since they spawned in with 100% hp martial prowess will be active for the entire battle.

Very stupid play from DE (and not very good build). Malekith can win vs 2 fenixes with soul stealer. Or at least can charge swordmasters and support with black guards vs goon squad. But he run and run and do nothing (and still take damage)?!? This way you cant use Malekith at all and HE still use their fenixes… Also DE need their darkshards with shields (at least 2 of them) to protect their lord and vs HE superior swordmasters (darkshards can annihilate them).

I guess it's early days, but it seems like HE are a bit like Dawi (That's a grudgin'!).

They get hard countered by all the other factions pretty well and have a tricky time finding any reasonable builds that arent huge wheels of cheese.

Maybe if the Dark Elf player had invested in another dragon he could have squeeked out the win. Having a stronger air game over the HE, alone with additional breath spells to chew into the HE Elite Infantry.

What would you say is the best option for the high elves to defeat skaven artillery Turin? When the skaven can use the cheap clanrats with spears to defend I find it difficult to kill all the crew indefinitely. Using the vanguard deployment cav can be tricky due to the vast numbers of the skaven and the eagle claw bolt thrower from my experience cannot destroy the artillery fast enough without some of my expensive high elf infantry being obliterated.

Flying lord + no missiles – DE player dont really know what to do vs HE. Btw, fun fact – with Kroq-Gar missile ability you can almost 1shot (~80%hp) Hag on altar with point blank shot. Even if he dont die she will be 100% route.

Why are you playing on potato quality all of a sudden Turin? Didn't seem to be much stutter when you were playing on higher settings. Kinda takes away from the enjoyment when it feels like you're watching a game from 2004.

yeah i didn't know potion of charoi had infintie uses. I figured it out in an extended siege battle on the campaign. He becomes surprisingly tanky for a "squishy" mage lord with that item.

Teclis literally cannot be killed outside of insane burst damage from like 3 or 4 heroes.

Nice to see you rocking double Frosthearts, Turin. In my own experience, the Frostheart was always a more popular choice than the Famespyre Phoenix in the local tabletop meta.

Everybody is amazed by the Dragon princes… heck yeah, they look cool and everything, but I can't be satisfied with a high-tier shock cavalry unit deprived of both anti-large and AP damages…

Teclis is really awesome, he's my №1 lord for all of my multiplayer HE armies. Very survivable and hard to catch when on a horse(and you need to keep your lord alive, losing him is a big penalty in WH2 for some reason), very flexible and pretty much the best caster in all of WH1 and WH2 by a mile thanks to his passives, spells and special abilities. And after all that he even seems reasonably well balanced x)

P.S. Turin, I've send you 2 replays with Teclis just like 1 hour ago(what a coincidence x) ), so you might wanna check that out!

I don't own the game yet. Do the dragon princes have the 14 armor piercing damage like the chaos knights with lances?
If yes they are among the top 3 cav units in the game due to physical resist and healing.

I wonder how fucked the Vampire Counts will be when they go up against some of these new factions. Skaven artillery will burn them to a crisp, Lizardmen will trample them with all of their large and both elf factions have elite high leadership infantry and lots of firedamage. They might actually stop being a viable faction. Which is weird, looking at how strong they were pre norsca.
