I agree on the don’t focus on what you don’t have, but focus on the things you do have 😀 I also agree that the game packs add so much, almost as much items as an EP. Great video 😊

My biggest tip for having fun in The Sims 4 (or any Sims game for that matter), DON'T CHEAT THEIR NEEDS. I get it, having an exhausted, smelly, bored, hungry, etc, sim can be annoying, but it also makes that game more fun, idk why. It's like you care about your sims a lot more when you aren't cheating 24/7

Really random, but Iron Seagull mention other people's challenges and I think I came up with a new challenge…what if there is a challenge where you need to make a sim learn every skill teachable in the game? Ive been trying to do that and its really fun having your sim progress and becoming better at so many skills. It could be called..idk…."All skills Challenge"??? Came  up with that name on the spot so it's not the best, but the challenge would be really fun to do.

I have 7 to 12 challenges that I make sims do before they're allowed to apply for a certain club. Example, my criminal gang/club, you cant join without stealing veg, beating up a racoon, stealing 5 drinks, making 10 prank calls etc. Its fun. I also try make my sims date properly, meet the parents, and don't let them marry till those relationships and their own is at max. I let my sims break up, make up, etc and move them in and out of different places. I made the rattlesnake bar into a restaurant/karaoke place. Everyone dresses as cow boys. Its great. I made the city gym into a rock climbing center with canteen. I don't have cc or mods. I enjoy playing the teens right now, but I just wish we had more activities to do like ice skating, or something.

UI extension cheats mod is my saviour it is so useful for the way I play which is super family, relationship and story focused not so much on needs and skills. However I have accidently now killed two of my sims from starvation using that mod. Just misclicked and bam the sim's dead!

Recently, I decided to make a legacy family while waiting for pets. It's been two months and I'm currently on generation four. My starter sim and her husband passed away from old age, their two daughters have grown up, gotten married, had kids, and now have grandchildren. 😭😭

Also I really want mc command center and the mass murder mod (not that I'm a serial killer). And it would be cool to have a lifetime orignal story play out.

I like, and do most of the things you mention except the mods and custom content because I get a lot out of the game and explore a lot by doing many different types of challenges and don't need mods and cc to 'spice up my game'. I have recently added MCC, but it seems very similar to how NRAAS was for Sims 3 & I like some of the functionality it adds to the game; I had to add it because cheats wouldn't let me change some relationships when I had to transfer my sims to a new save, but I do like the ease of certain things it adds. I can understand why not everyone wants them or should even use them as some simmers aren't that computer savvy to be able to add and manage them (I'm saying that because I help in a Sims Facebook group and I see people who struggle with basic trouble shooting tips for the game). I don't think people are missing out because they don't use them because we all explore and play our games in different ways and perhaps those who don't use them get more out of the game itself then those who can't manage without them because they may be exploring the game more fully. I do think they can be a way to spice up your game for some people.

I update my existing lots with new content all the time, but hadn't thought of adding the bowling alley to a location in Windenburg, which is a great idea. I've added an internet cafe to the upstairs of the Karaoke Bar in the Spice District, but adding a void critter station to the basement sounds like another great idea.

It's crazy, I love the Sims, like really love, but it hasn't been like the others. It's harder to get into it… Even though I've already played 2,000 hours (yes, thats right). Cc has added some specialties, little mods, and even bringing back old families has helped…. Yes Charming family, Kat family, even the Burbs. Also Sims YouTubers, like you @Ironseagull , really give great ideas that I don't think of. Thanks!

Thanks for this video 🙂 It actually inspired me to start a game just for myself to play off camera. I usually just build, but I'm excited to explore some game play and get some more use out of all these packs 🙂 <3

I'm currently playing with multiple households, about eight or nine. I love seeing how their individual stories play out, and I love it when their stories cross paths and intertwine. Story telling is such a big part of the fun for me, I even have a document that I update once a month or so and my friends love reading the latest drama that happened in my save.

Also MCCC is one of the best mods out there. I love it when I'm playing with one family and I see another one is having a baby, or they got married, etc. I also love that you can set up child support using MCCC, it's really nice for the story. I also don't use cheats unless if it's for the story. If I have these sims who have been millionaires for years, then I'll cheat their money up.

I've been playing with this save for a while now, and my friends and I have growned attached to them. I've been meaning to update that google document, but there's something horrible that happened to this sim named Ethan (he's part of the main family that I tend to lean towards when playing. I've been playing with him and his family for so long, I'm really attached) and I've been hesitating.
