Joker, you have the WattMan bug, when you switch to RX Vega to RX 580, it caps the memory speed to 800mhz like on HBM2. You basically tested a massively under-clocked RX 580 (less than half bandwidth) vs 1060..

Do an updated test, and also with the game ready drivers from AMD for this title.

As a non-rich pc-er, not to say that one should or needs to be, because pc is superior in most ways… Anyways to my question. Since you say that the 980-1060 card range should be able to run it fine at 1080 at 60 with just a couple dips here and there on high, would it be fair to assume that a 950 reliably run the game at 1080 at 60 on medium?

Honestly people should kick the habit of putting everything on ultra (sometimes called just High), you can barely… just barely see the difference lol

Pretty sure the dx12 isn’t actually a beta. It’s been in beta since atilla but I think this is he first dx12 native. I might be talking crap but that’s what I’ve gathered

Thanks for doing this Joker, I've been waiting to see some vieos on performance for this game. Something I would really like to see actually is battle size scalability testing with different hardware, something that never seems to get tested much. Try out some massive custom 4v4 battles with the AI and see how CPU's vary in keeping everything at a decent pace, particularly interested in seeing how the clock speed advantage of a 7700k would be vs more cores of the Ryzen CPUs.

The AMD cards will perform slightly better with the DX12 option, on par with the Nvidia counterparts mostly. The first game's DX12 option was "(BETA)" for the entire time, so I don't know as it matters much, I would like to see testing with that too.

The directx12 will always be Beta. And for some reason in the second game it is terribly optimized. Lowers my fps by about 5-10, increases load times by up to 1000% and causes numerous crashes on Hawaii.

+Joker I think you used the same footage for both the Vega 56 and RX 580. No issues though, doesn't change the result. Great video. 🙂

Please do one for Forza 7!
